Hey book lovers! I was tagged by my good friend Michelle at The Bibliophile Struggle to do what’s called The Ultimate Game of Thrones Book Tag created by the Orang- Utan Librarian. This seems like a super fun tag especially since I’m obsessed with Game of Thrones so let’s get started!
As usual, there are some Rules:
- Mention the creator, Orang-utan Librarian.
- Answer all the questions
- Tag people and keep it going!
“We do not sow”- A book you would not be willing to invest in
I will absolutely never ever ever EVER read “Fifty Shades of Grey.” I’m all about some sexy reading material but like… by someone who actually knows how to write. I obviously don’t have a copy to display for you but I’m pretty confident you all know the cover.
“Fire and blood”- A book that produced strong emotions in you
Anything by John Green tbh. Well I guess more just “Looking for Alaska” and “The Fault in Our Stars.” I just… admire his writing so much. It’s just so honest and raw but beautiful and refined at the same time idk I love him.
“Winter is coming”- Your favorite winter read
Uh idk I don’t really have anything particular that I read during the winter… I’d like to be one of those people the reread Harry Potter every winter but I just hate rereading books.
“Family. Duty. Honour.”- A book about strong family ties
“The Mortal Instruments” series (by Cassandra Clare)? Not exactly about family ties but like the two main characters fall in love even though they think they’r siblings… does that count? And like Jace is trying to figure out where tf he came from like the whole series.
“Growing strong”- A book you had low expectations of but that grew on you
“Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell. I had heard a lot of people talking about how much they loved this book and anytime people do that especially about a contemporary my expectations drop exponentially. But I was surprised by how much I love this book.
“Ours is the fury”- A book that made you furious
I can only think of “Wicked” by Gregory McGuire only because I hated it so much. I’m sure many people enjoy the book and his writing but it is definitely not for me. I found it extremely hard to get through. I used to have a copy of this book but I lost it in the fire and I didn’t replace it…
“Unbowed. Unbent.Unbroken.”- A book you have unwavering devotion to
I’d say probably The Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. I loved this series so much and really am just in awe of what JK has done for the community.
“A Lannister always pays his debts”- A book you feel indebted to
Maybe “Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro? It’s seriously one of the most heartbreaking books I’ve ever read. But it’s such a beautiful story and so thought provoking. Plus it got me to read adult fiction which I hardy ever do.
This was so fun! If you’re a Game of Thrones lover then I nominate you to do this tag!
Till next time ❤
