WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!?!?!?! (Not a Book Post: Anime Reccommendation)

I promise I’m getting back to the books just stay tuned. But until then let’s talk about my second love (behind YA) ANIME. I know you just can’t contain your excitement.

Now I’ve kind of discussed my love of anime on my previous blog  (here’s a link if you’re curious) but I was talking about the only manga I’ve ever read. Which is a very small glimpse into my love of anime.

I’m currently watching a sort of older anime called “Gurren Lagann.” Here’s a description of the show from imdb because It does a better job than I ever could of explaining this crazy show:

“In a bleak future where humanity is oppressed by an army of mutants and forced to live underground, a young orphan unearths a powerful robot. Together with a boisterous man named Kamina, a beautiful sharpshooter named Yoko and many other friends, they use the robots power to fight against their oppressors and take back the surface.”

It kind of reminds me a lot of “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” which is one of my all time favorites. It’s really silly and kind of ridiculous in the same way but it gets super fucking real too. Like there are a couple of catchphrasey things that seem goofy for the characters to say but ugh now it’s so powerful when they say these sort of silly things they’ve been saying throughout the whole show.

Idk I just really love it and I love anime AND I DON’T CARE WHO KNOWS IT

P.S. I’m currently reading “Unravel Me” by Tahereh Mafi which is  YA so like I said next post will definitely be our regularly scheduled programming.
